Dear Dream Maker ~

Happy Happy Day! Today is my b-day and I am overflowing with gratitude and JOY. Each one of you is a blessing, a gift in my life. You have touched me in one way, shape, or form…whether it was in one dance class, performance, via my website, or through social media.

I am so grateful for you!

On this day of my birth, I share some wonderful news.

The News

Well…let’s go back in time a bit first.

One week before I departed India this past January I felt a heavy, dreadful sensation in the pit of my stomach. I physically felt the effects of withdrawal several days before leaving. It felt wrong in every cell of my body.

The longing and sadness was shocking and curious to me.

What is it about India? What is it that I have yet to experience or realize there that I just started to uncover? Why did it feel so wrong to leave?

Now I know that there were so many things (beautiful, amazing, powerful things) that were happening for me on every level – spiritually, physically, emotionally, professionally. Things that were being opened up and healed and revealed – each and every day on that beloved Indian soil. There were also things being set in motion that I still can’t put words to. I only feel.

The connections, the incredible people and the love I felt were overwhelming and so very nurturing.

It took a good 2-3 weeks to feel centered, at home and peaceful in this body upon my return.

Since then, I have planted many seeds of desire.

I have prayed for guidance and have fully surrendered to whatever is in the divine flow of my journey forward.

There is a wave of energy welling up inside of me and underneath me. It continues to build. It is still germinating and I have yet to fully understand and meet it face to face.

It began in India and continues to move through me.

The words, “Global Family” keep coming into my mind and heart since returning. This is what I experienced in Pushkar and it is something that I desire to cultivate, nurture and grow.

And I’ve prayed to Mama India to call me back as soon as possible.

My prayer was answered.

I have been invited to be a Santa Barbara delegate at the Women Economic Forum in New Dehli, India from May 16-21, 2016.

The Women Economic Forum is…

WEF is an annual global event hosted by ALL Ladies League (ALL), the world’s largest league of women. ALL is an evolution of collaboration, fostering women’s economic empowerment, leadership and love with an all-inclusive global community of over 20,000 members with 450 global chapters, spanning 75 countries. Our overarching objective is to exponentially enhance women’s economic progression and leadership skills and to become active change agents in all spheres of self and society.

I will not only be taking workshops and listening to incredible speakers, creating connections, expanding my network, discovering new sisters and friends, I will also be presenting and sharing my gifts at the forum.

My focus?

Embodiment, upliftment, activation through dance, the voice, the breath.
An invitation for women (and men) at the event (and in the world) to be more present and aware in their bodies.
To use the language of the body to call in and become the truth of who we really are.
To BECOME what we desire. To emanate it from every cell in our bodies. To be more expressive, graceful and empowered.

I am so very excited and honored to be invited and to have the opportunity to share and present my gifts at the forum. I will be bringing back so many more tools, resources and a ton of inspiration to move forward in my work and mission. I will make incredible new connections and friends, co-creating a Global Family!

IMG_2857I am returning to Mama India. In a little more than 6 weeks.

Yes, I am.

Tears well up in my eyes at the mere thought of this. Every cell in my body says YES to this.

I’m going back to continue the discovery…of self, of truth, of LOVE. To connect to women and men from around the world. To give, receive, give, receive.

There are 10 delegates from Santa Barbara. 10 shining stars to represent our beloved community. We are a group of musicians, activists, health warriors, entrepreneurs, artists and so much more.

We have created a GoFundMe page to gather support to help us defray the cost of the trip (flight, transportation and lodging). Each delegate has to raise $2000 to be able to attend the forum.

A Bollywood Affair

Please save the date! Sunday, April 17 from 4-7 pm at the Butler Event Center in Santa Barbara.

We are throwing a huge fundraiser, Bollywood-Style!

Thank you all SO very much for your beauty, love, and support of LBL. We are going GLOBAL!

Praise for last year’s Women Economic Forum:

Thank you so much for organizing the most exciting, stimulating and memorable historic event. I must thank both of you for making the impossible possible. You not only connected people but hearts and minds and you truly deserve our appreciation and applaud for trying to make this world a better place to live by bringing women together. We shared, we learned and we coalesce and this makes the basis of building bridges and overcoming prejudices. I have no words to describe the great service you did for women’s emancipation and projection.

Yes! We are family! Sisters are we, from around the world! An incredible group of LADIES, with a few good men intermingled. A treasure to expand our networks and have connections in multiple countries with women of like-mind and purpose. Thank you to each woman who shared her heart, mission and soul with me.
